Audi A5 is a great coupe with classy cabin, comfortable driving experience and as far as the engine concerns, it’s matchless

Introduction

Design

The body is a little bit longer but also narrower than ever before and the cleverly embossed bonnet aids to distinguish it further from its A4 saloon sibling. Optional LED headlights also take a new lighting signature and have been progressed to avoid dazzling other road users when they’re riding towards you.

The A5 may not be the mainly visually appealing from the outside but the cabin is wonderfully executed. The quality of plastics used within the Audi is impressive and simply goes some way to justify its heavy price.

Reliability

Audi has a first-class reputation globally but some readers nominated the German brand in 21st place (out of 32) in the Driver Power owner satisfaction survey held in 2016. Disturbingly, that’s eight places lower than it ended in 2015. Biggest gripes along with consumers centered around reliability where it completed 23rd. However, build quality was rated very greatly in sixth position. There should be slight to worry about in terms of protection, too. Euro NCAP made both the A4 saloon and A5 coupe complete five stars out of five in its crash tests. It honored the A5 89 percent for adult occupant protection as well. Standard safety kit in the A5 range includes stability control, a host of airbags, autonomous braking and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
